Transport And Ports Management Systems (TPMS)
Collaboration Systems worked closely with stakeholders and end users to understand how their current operations worked and came up with a requirements specification document which was presented to all stakeholders. The business goal of the new TPMS Web Portal was to radically improve the way TPMS employees create and track CTN records and also make the process of applying for CTNs by shipping agents easier. The solution is based on SharePoint lists, forms and workflows. Both extranet and staff intranet had a SharePoint document management system with Business Intelligence for real time reports for TPMS directors and NPA.
The outcome
The application drastically reduced staff time in creating and searching for Cargo Tracking Notes and also enabled TPMS give NPA feedback in real time on any CTN record. This ability for NPA to track records electronically was a key requirement in signing the concessionaire agreement with TPMS.
